How we protect your information

Unakin builds privacy-first, sovereign things for serious people. That posture applies to you, from first email to final handoff. Here's exactly how.

๐Ÿ” Encrypted on Proton โ€” end to end

Unakin runs on the full Proton privacy suite โ€” built on end-to-end, zero-access encryption, so not even Proton can read your data:

  • Proton Mail โ€” encrypted email; Proton-to-Proton messages are unreadable to anyone but us.
  • Proton VPN โ€” encrypted, no-logs network on every session we work on your project.
  • Proton Drive & Docs โ€” encrypted storage and document collaboration for anything you share with us.
  • Proton Calendar โ€” encrypted scheduling.
  • Proton Pass โ€” encrypted password manager, so any credential that must change hands is shared securely โ€” never by plain email or chat.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ This portal โ€” private by default

  • Row-level security: you see only your account's documents, and only once they're published โ€” enforced in the database, not just hidden in the interface.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest: every connection is TLS; stored data is encrypted on disk.
  • Passwordless sign-in: magic links, no password to steal or reuse.

๐Ÿ”‘ How we handle credentials โ€” the important part

The best way to protect a secret is to never need it. So:

  • We register your accounts in your name (Supabase, DigitalOcean, Mapbox, domain) โ€” you hold the master passwords. We operate with scoped collaborator access, not your master login.
  • Any secret that must be shared moves through a password manager's secure share โ€” never plain email, text, or chat.
  • Please don't send master passwords. If you ever send a credential or sensitive detail by accident, tell us โ€” we'll help you rotate it immediately and confirm it's dead.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Your accounts, your data

Everything runs on infrastructure you own and control, billed to you. If we ever part ways, our access is removed and your service keeps running โ€” no lock-in, no hostage data.
